Simulation des Einsatzhärtens und Abschätzung der Dauerfestigkeit einsatzgehärteter Bauteile

Simulation of case hardening and fatigue limit estimation of case hardened components

On the one hand, case hardening of components is simulated on the basis of existing material models. On the other hand, a concept is presented to evaluate the fatigue limit of case hardened components. In this concept the results of heat treatment simulation are used as new initial parameters. For the first time a complete (material-mechanical) concept for the fatigue limit of case hardened components is presented. For the analysis of any component geometry, an implementation of material models in FEM is necessary. The FE-program ABAQUS has been used in the frame of this thesis. The ANTRI subroutine system has been developed especially for this program to simulate case hardening and the evaluation of the fatigue limit for case hardened components. Experimental results found in publications have been used to verify the ANTRI subroutine system. A very good match has been observed between the data obtained through experiments and the simulated ones.show moreshow less
