N2 - Due to the intensified cultivation of energy plants and the resulting ecological und socio- political tensions the use of waste products to obtain biogas increasingly became a centre of interest. Accordingly, the thesis at hand presents tests using straw with percolated dry fermentation. Straw is composed of strong polysaccharides cellulose and hemicellulose structures, which are connected to lignin that cannot be degraded anaerobicly. The result is a slow degradation process causing long retention-times and, as the case may be, a low rate of yield for biogas and methane. However, under a certain pre-treatment of the straw his effect can be prevented. In the course of this thesis an enzyme compound was used for that matter. Subsequently the use of straw with percolated dry fermentation was evaluated in general and under the use of an enzyme compound. N2 - Anaerobic processes are well-known biotechnological procedures in which different micro-organism groups can participate. To these groups belong also the methane bacteria, which produce methane and carbon dioxide as a final product of their metabolism. The economic use in Germany started in the 20's of the last century with the attempt to win fermentation gas from sewage sludge. In the past the interest in the fermentation gas technology has intensified itself for different reasons. This thesis deals with the anaerobic treatment of the substrate Treibsel, which represents an often discussed problem at the German North Sea coast due to not functioning utilization methods. Content and intent of this thesis is the investigation whether the dry fermentation of Treibsel represents an ecological and economical alternative to the procedures used so far. Purpose of the attempts in the laboratory yardstick is an efficient and stable anaerobic process as well as a high fermentation gas production. Further the effect of a possible concentration of salts and a resultant inhibiting effect of this process should be examined in the attempts, because Treibsel for the most part consists of Halophyte (salt plants).
