Characterised by a rather radical, responsive, and location-specific nature, real-world labs face constraints in the scaling of experimental knowledge. To make a significant contribution to urban transformation, the produced knowledge must go beyond the level of a building, street, or small district where real-world experiments are conducted. Thus, a conflict arises between experimental boundaries and the stimulation of broader implications. The challenges of scaling experimental knowledge have been recognised as a problem, but remain largely unexplained. Based on this, the article will discuss the applicability of the "typology of amplification processes" by Lam et al. (2020) to explore and evaluate the potential of scaling experimental knowledge from real-world labs. The application of the typology is exemplified in the case of the Bauhaus.MobilityLab. The Bauhaus.MobilityLab takes a unique approach by testing and developing cross-sectoral mobility, energy, and logistics solutions with a distinct focus on scaling knowledge and innovation. For this case study, different qualitative research techniques are combined according to "within-method triangulation" and synthesised in a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis. The analysis of the Bauhaus.MobilityLab proves that the "typology of amplification processes" is useful as a systematic approach to identifying and evaluating the potential of scaling experimental knowledge.}, subject = {Stadtplanung}, language = {en} } @phdthesis{Vesper, author = {Vesper, Andreas}, title = {Entwicklung eines Berechnungsverfahrens zur Ermittlung der Kapazit{\"a}t in lichtsignalgeregelten Zufahrten mit zus{\"a}tzlichen Aufstellstreifen bei gleichzeitiger Freigabezeit}, doi = {10.25643/bauhaus-universitaet.3789}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:gbv:wim2-20180925-37895}, school = {Bauhaus-Universit{\"a}t Weimar}, pages = {338}, abstract = {Im Rahmen der Dissertation ist ein analytisches Berechnungsverfahren zur Ermittlung der Kapazit{\"a}t in lichtsignalgeregelten Zufahrten mit zus{\"a}tzlichen Aufstellstreifen bei gleichzeitiger Freigabezeit entwickelt worden, dass sich durch folgende Eigenschaften auszeichnet: a) einfaches Berechnungsverfahren - Ansatz eines einfachen linearen Berechnungsansatzes, der auf den Grundzusammenh{\"a}ngen des Verkehrsablaufs in lichtsignalgeregelten Zufahrten aufbaut, b) breites Anwendungsgebiet - Berechnungsverfahren kann in Zufahrten mit bis zu zwei zus{\"a}tzlichen Aufstellstreifen angewendet werden, c) hohe Genauigkeit - Im Rahmen eines direkten Vergleichs konnte u. a. gezeigt werden, dass mit dem hergeleiteten analytischen Berechnungsverfahren genauere Kapazit{\"a}tswerte ermittelt werden k{\"o}nnen, als mit dem Berechnungsverfahren nach HBS 2015.}, subject = {Verkehrssignalanlage}, language = {de} } @article{MeunierWaltherWorsleyetal., author = {Meunier, David and Walther, Christoph and Worsley, Tom and Dahl, Alexander and Le Ma{\^i}tre, H{\´e}l{\`e}ne}, title = {Evolutions of the Reference Values Used in Transport CBA National Guidelines of 3 Countries and What they Reveal}, series = {Transportation Research Procedia 13}, journal = {Transportation Research Procedia 13}, doi = {10.1016/j.trpro.2016.05.011}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:gbv:wim2-20170406-31106}, pages = {100 -- 113}, abstract = {The paper presents, analyses and compares the evolution of reference values used in national guidelines issued for cost-benefit analysis of transport infrastructure projects, over the last fifty years, in France, UK and Germany.}, subject = {Verkehrsinfrastruktur}, language = {en} }
