Erstens bezeichnet das »Kollektiv« in diesem Sinne vor allem anderen eine Ansammlung von Entit{\"a}ten zu einem als Ganzem operativen, m{\"o}glicherweise sogar handlungs- und reflexionsf{\"a}higen Komplex. Die Operationen werden dabei erstens im »Kollektiv« und durch das »Kollektiv« ausgef{\"u}hrt, gleichzeitig jedoch sind sie es, die das »Kollektiv« {\"u}berhaupt erst aufspannen und relationieren und so zusammenhalten und reproduzieren bzw. variieren. Das Besondere daran ist zweitens - und das unterscheidet den »Kollektiv«-Begriff etwa von demjenigen des Systems -, dass es keine Subsumption der beteiligten Entit{\"a}ten unter das kollektive Gebilde gibt. Die Operationsf{\"a}higkeit und der Zusammenschluss f{\"u}hren weder zu einem Aufgehen des Einzelnen im Ganzen, noch zerf{\"a}llt im R{\"u}ckfall das Ganze in eine bloße Gesamtheit aufsummierbarer Teile und Effekte. Und viertens schließlich ist der »Kollektiv«-Begriff speziell ein Kontrastbegriff , der innerhalb der »neuen Soziologie« der Akteur-Netzwerk-Theorie an die Stelle des Gesellschaftsbegriff s treten soll, eben um dessen humanozentrische Pr{\"a}gung einerseits und seine subsumptive, generalisierende und anti-partikulare Tradition andererseits abzustreifen.}, subject = {Medienwissenschaft}, language = {de} } @periodical{OPUS4-4847, title = {Schwerpunkt Entwerfen}, volume = {2012}, number = {3.2012, Heft 1}, editor = {Engell, Lorenz and Siegert, Bernhard}, publisher = {Felix Meiner Verlag}, address = {Hamburg}, organization = {Internationales Kolleg f{\"u}r Kulturtechnikforschung und Medienphilosophie}, issn = {2366-0767}, doi = {10.28937/ZMK-3-1}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:gbv:wim2-20240507-48473}, pages = {225}, abstract = {Entwerfen ist ein {\"a}usserst unscharfer Begriff. If the wind speed exceeds the critical flutter speed of the bridge, this constitutes an Ultimate Limit State. The prediction of the flutter boundary therefore requires accurate and robust models. This paper aims at studying various combinations of models to predict the flutter phenomenon. Since flutter is a coupling of aerodynamic forcing with a structural dynamics problem, different types and classes of models can be combined to study the interaction. Here, both numerical approaches and analytical models are utilised and coupled in different ways to assess the prediction quality of the hybrid model. Models for aerodynamic forces employed are the analytical Theodorsen expressions for the motion-enduced aerodynamic forces of a flat plate and Scanlan derivatives as a Meta model. Further, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations using the Vortex Particle Method (VPM) were used to cover numerical models. The structural representations were dimensionally reduced to two degree of freedom section models calibrated from global models as well as a fully three-dimensional Finite Element (FE) model. A two degree of freedom system was analysed analytically as well as numerically. Generally, all models were able to predict the flutter phenomenon and relatively close agreement was found for the particular bridge. The present research analyzes the error on prediction obtained under different data type availability for calibration. The contribution of different measurement types to model calibration and prognosis are evaluated. A coupled 2D hydro-mechanical model of a water retaining dam is taken as an example. Here, the mean effective stress in the porous skeleton is reduced due to an increase in pore water pressure under drawdown conditions. Relevant model parameters are identified by scaled sensitivities. Then, Particle Swarm Optimization is applied to determine the optimal parameter values and finally, the error in prognosis is determined. We compare the predictions of the optimized models with results from a forward run of the reference model to obtain the actual prediction errors. The analyses presented here were performed calibrating the hydro-mechanical model to 31 data sets of 100 observations of varying data types. The prognosis results improve when using diversified information for calibration. However, when using several types of information, the number of observations has to be increased to be able to cover a representative part of the model domain. For an analysis with constant number of observations, a compromise between data type availability and domain coverage proves to be the best solution. Which type of calibration information contributes to the best prognoses could not be determined in advance. The error in model prognosis does not depend on the error in calibration, but on the parameter error, which unfortunately cannot be determined in inverse problems since we do not know its real value. The best prognoses were obtained independent of calibration fit. However, excellent calibration fits led to an increase in prognosis error variation. It is shown that direct addressing of sparse matrices is possible in general circumstances, circumventing the traditional linear or binary search for introducing (generalized) constituents to a sparse matrix. Nested and arbitrarily interconnected multiple-point constraints are introduced by processing of multiplicative constituents with a built-in topological ordering of the resulting directed graph. A classification of discretization methods is performed and some re-classified problems are described and solved under this proposed perspective. The dependence relations between solution methods, algorithms and constituents becomes apparent. Fracture algorithms can be naturally casted in this framework. Solutions based on control equations are also directly incorporated as equality constraints. We show that arbitrary constituents can be used as long as the resulting directed graph is acyclic. It is also shown that graph partitions and orderings should be performed in the innermost part of the algorithm, a fact with some peculiar consequences. The core of our implicit code is described, specifically new algorithms for direct access of sparse matrices (by means of the clique structure) and general constituent processing. It is demonstrated that the graph structure of the second derivatives of the equality constraints are cliques (or pseudo-elements) and are naturally included as such. A complete algorithm is presented which allows a complete automation of equality constraints, avoiding the need of pre-sorting. The resulting "edge-based" smoothed extended finite element method (ESm-XFEM) is tailored to linear elastic fracture mechanics and, in this context, to outperform the standard XFEM. In the XFEM, the displacement-based approximation is enriched by the Heaviside and asymptotic crack tip functions using the framework of partition of unity. This eliminates the need for the mesh alignment with the crack and re-meshing, as the crack evolves. Edge-based smoothing (ES) relies on a generalized smoothing operation over smoothing domains associated with edges of simplex meshes, and produces a softening effect leading to a close-to-exact stiffness, "super-convergence" and "ultra-accurate" solutions. The present method takes advantage of both the ES-FEM and the XFEM. Thanks to the use of strain smoothing, the subdivision of elements intersected by discontinuities and of integrating the (singular) derivatives of the approximation functions is suppressed via transforming interior integration into boundary integration. The main tools are the hyperbolic metric and its invariance properties.}, subject = {Angewandte Informatik}, language = {en} } @misc{Esser2011, type = {Master Thesis}, author = {Esser, Julia}, title = {Analyse von Einflussparametern auf bogenf{\"o}rmige {\"u}berschnittene Bohrpfahlw{\"a}nde mit mehreren unbewehrten Zwischenpf{\"a}hlen}, doi = {10.25643/bauhaus-universitaet.1541}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:gbv:wim2-20120203-15416}, school = {Bauhaus-Universit{\"a}t Weimar}, year = {2011}, abstract = {wasserdichte Baugrubenumschließungen tiefer Baugruben mittels bogenf{\"o}rmiger, {\"u}berschnittener Bohrpfahlw{\"a}nde}, subject = {{\"u}berschnittene Bohrpfahlwand}, language = {de} } @masterthesis{Franke, type = {Bachelor Thesis}, author = {Franke, Carolin}, title = {Bauphysikalisches Quartett}, doi = {10.25643/bauhaus-universitaet.1772}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:gbv:wim2-20121130-17723}, school = {Bauhaus-Universit{\"a}t Weimar}, pages = {74}, abstract = {Quartett ist ein ebenso altes, wie auch beliebtes Kartenspiel. Vor allem bei Kindern erfreut es sich großer Beliebtheit, w{\"a}hrend in den {\"a}lteren Generationen kaum jemand mit Quartettkarten spielt. Quartettspiele speziell f{\"u}r Kleinkinder sind zum Großteil mit Inhalten versehen, die Wissen auf spielerische Art und Weise vermitteln. Dabei werden gute Lernerfolge in dieser Zielgruppe verzeichnet. Wie lassen sich also diese Lernerfolge durch das Spielen mit Quartettkarten erzielen? Und wie kann dieser Effekt auch auf Studenten {\"u}bertragen werden? Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, das Konzept des Quartettkartenspiels auf bauphysikalische Inhalte anzuwenden und gegebenenfalls die Spielprinzipien zu erweitern oder zu ver{\"a}ndern. Dabei sind die Studenten der Fakult{\"a}t Bauingenieurswesen die Zielgruppe, an die sich das Spiel richten soll. Besondere Herausforderung ist es, unterschiedliche Objekteklassen von bauphysikalischer Relevanz in einem Spiel zusammenzubringen und vergleichbar zu machen. Das sich ergebende Quartettkartenspiel sollte nicht nur eine Objektklasse, sondern mehrere Objektklassen zum Inhalt haben. Dabei sollen die Objektklassen so gew{\"a}hlt werden, dass sich Kategorien mit bauphysikalischem Inhalt finden lassen. Augenmerk sollte auch auf die Strukturierung der Lerninhalte gelegt werden, um eine leichte {\"U}bertragung des Spielkonzepts auf andere Fachdom{\"a}nen zu erm{\"o}glichen. Since the analytical methods are not capable of solving many complicated engineering problems, numerical methods have been increasingly adopted. In this paper, a part of isotropic material which contains a crack is considered as a partial model and the proposed model quality is evaluated. EXtended IsoGeometric Analysis (XIGA) is a new developed numerical approach [1, 2] which benefits from advantages of its origins: eXtended Finite Element Method (XFEM) and IsoGeometric Analysis (IGA). It is capable of simulating crack propagation problems with no remeshing necessity and capturing singular field at the crack tip by using the crack tip enrichment functions. Also, exact representation of geometry is possible using only few elements. XIGA has also been successfully applied for fracture analysis of cracked orthotropic bodies [3] and for simulation of curved cracks [4]. XIGA applies NURBS functions for both geometry description and solution field approximation. The drawback of NURBS functions is that local refinement cannot be defined regarding that it is based on tensorproduct constructs unless multiple patches are used which has also some limitations. In this contribution, the XIGA is further developed to make the local refinement feasible by using Tspline basis functions. Adopting a recovery based error estimator in the proposed approach for evaluation of the model quality and performing the adaptive processes is in progress. Finally, some numerical examples with available analytical solutions are investigated by the developed scheme.}, subject = {Angewandte Informatik}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{GonzalezCalvet, author = {Gonzalez Calvet, Ramon}, title = {NEW FOUNDATIONS FOR GEOMETRIC ALGEBRA}, series = {Digital Proceedings, International Conference on the Applications of Computer Science and Mathematics in Architecture and Civil Engineering : July 04 - 06 2012, Bauhaus-University Weimar}, booktitle = {Digital Proceedings, International Conference on the Applications of Computer Science and Mathematics in Architecture and Civil Engineering : July 04 - 06 2012, Bauhaus-University Weimar}, editor = {G{\"u}rlebeck, Klaus and Lahmer, Tom and Werner, Frank}, organization = {Bauhaus-Universit{\"a}t Weimar}, issn = {1611-4086}, doi = {10.25643/bauhaus-universitaet.2764}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:gbv:wim2-20170314-27644}, pages = {12}, abstract = {New foundations for geometric algebra are proposed based upon the existing isomorphisms between geometric and matrix algebras. Each geometric algebra always has a faithful real matrix representation with a periodicity of 8. On the other hand, each matrix algebra is always embedded in a geometric algebra of a convenient dimension. The geometric product is also isomorphic to the matrix product, and many vector transformations such as rotations, axial symmetries and Lorentz transformations can be written in a form isomorphic to a similarity transformation of matrices. We collect the idea that Dirac applied to develop the relativistic electron equation when he took a basis of matrices for the geometric algebra instead of a basis of geometric vectors. Of course, this way of understanding the geometric algebra requires new definitions: the geometric vector space is defined as the algebraic subspace that generates the rest of the matrix algebra by addition and multiplication; isometries are simply defined as the similarity transformations of matrices as shown above, and finally the norm of any element of the geometric algebra is defined as the nth root of the determinant of its representative matrix of order n×n. The main idea of this proposal is an arithmetic point of view consisting of reversing the roles of matrix and geometric algebras in the sense that geometric algebra is a way of accessing, working and understanding the most fundamental conception of matrix algebra as the algebra of transformations of multilinear quantities.}, subject = {Angewandte Informatik}, language = {en} }
